RIDE NOTES…
No food last night and the only thing in town for breakfast this morning is the “Stripes” gas station. Breakfast tacos and they could not have been better! Or maybe I was just so hungry I didn’t care. Either way they hit the spot.
62 mile ride today from Sanderson, TX to Langtry, TX. Hard to believe it’s been 10 days and I’m STILL in west Texas?! Will it ever end??
I caught up with my two biker buddies, Jazael and Cheyenne, about 10 miles west of Langtry, TX and rode into town with them. I think they were riding slow on purpose to let me catch up with them. I had a good Samaritan stop and check on me today and give me some water. While in Langtry Cheyenne noticed she had a flat tire so she had to repair it and then the two of them continued on another 15 miles to a campground and I got a room at the Langtry Motel. The motel was fine and the folks at the store were great. I plan to leave at 1st light due to the store not opening until 8AM and it will be a long 60 mile ride to Del Rio, TX tomorrow. I should have enough drinks and snacks to get me to Comstock, TX about 30 miles from Langtry.

It is funny how quick we thought we drove across west Texas and how different it is riding it. Just hope once you are in central Texas that really bad weather is gone. You have been very lucky so far to not be in any storms.
West Texas is totally different with a strong headwind and you only average 7MPH. I’ve actually been in West Texas longer than Ca., Az., and NM. Combined.
