RIDE NOTES…
Unbelievable amount of bugs in the motel room last night. I woke up at 1:30 AM and they were EVERYWHERE!! Nothing I could do but wait for daylight and leave.
Left right at first light and rode a long hard 28 miles to Comstock, TX. Had a good lunch at J&P Bar and Grill then rode another 30 miles to Del Rio, TX. Crossed over the Amistad Reservoir today, which spans between Texas and Mexico. The reservoir was a joint project by the US and Mexico. Amistad is derived from the Spanish word for “friendship”, representing the two nations’ cooperation on the Amistad dam.
Went to Wendy’s for a frosty and then checked into the Holiday Inn Express. Immediately took a long hot shower and wash all of my clothes from the disgusting bug infested room last night at the Langtry Motel. This hotel has a hot tub so I took advantage and soaked my legs for a while. Went to Chili’s for early supper, ate too much, went to bed early.

No big deal. They had there space and I had mine. It was somewhat hard going back to sleep after seeing so many different types of spiders. Being on my bike I couldn’t leave till daylight, so I just had to chalk it up to “The Trip” and things have to get better from there, cause they possibly could not be worse than that night, at least “I Hope”?????
