RIDE NOTES…
Nice easy ride today from Gila Bend, AZ to Casa Grande, AZ. Mostly along Interstate 8 and then come on SR 84. Stopped and had some Gatorade and brownies for lunch. Somewhat of a confusing turn not marked well on 84 in Casa Grande, AZ but I figured it out and made it to the Holiday Inn Express to meet Bart. Another hot day of 91 degrees but I finished early in the afternoon and went immediately to McDonalds for ice cream and coke zero. Bart and I drove around to find a good route from the hotel to the highway for tomorrow, its going to be a long 75 mile day to Tucson, AZ. Bart and I went to Chili’s restaurant for beer and dinner.
Still having a great time and with all my technology; Garmin GPS, Cyclemeter, Apple Maps, and Bart keeping me straight and on the correct roads I haven’t truly gotten lost yet. BUT, Bart will be leaving tomorrow to get back to his job in the real world and after that its all up to me to find my way home. You’ve heard all the stories of cats and dogs finding their way home from thousands of miles away, like in “The Incredible Journey”. Lets just hope I’m as keen as those cats and dogs! Time will certainly tell…
