RIDE NOTES…
Went to breakfast with my warmshowers.org host this morning, then she had two soccer games to referee. In the mean time I took my bike to Outdoor Adventures in Las Cruces, NM for a checkup and repairs. I had a broken spoke so they fixed that and also trued both of my wheels. They made several other adjustments, inspected and lubed the chain, and put my tires at the correct pressures. I purchased a new bike mounted foot operated air pump. My other pump was just too difficult to keep the pressures up, hopefully this one will be easier to keep the correct pressure in the tires. Met back up with Lisa and we rode 16 miles south to a Mexican place in La Mesa, NM for a late lunch. After lunch she headed north and I kept pedaling south to Anthony, TX. Thanks again to Lisa for her hospitality. She is a great host!! I rode past the old capitol building which later was the courthouse where Billy the Kid was tried and sentenced.

Been a great trip. A real eye opener of how people live across the country. Anyone with any interest of a trip like this should “JUST DO IT”
