RIDE NOTES…
Well, it was an uneventful Friday the 13th, thank goodness!! Rode a short 43 miles from Uvalde, TX to Hondo, TX. Kept it short today on purpose to keep a good eye on that temporary spoke. Amazingly it seems to be all good so far and I hope to get it fixed tomorrow in San Antonio, TX.
Checked in early to the Regency Inn and got cleaned up. Went to a new chain eatery called the “Golden Chick” and it was really good.
I was talking with SIRI on my iPhone and she tells me I’m about halfway done. 27 riding days averaging about 50 miles per day means I’m pretty much on track and should be in St. Augustine, FL sometime mid June.
While riding today I passed through 3 small towns with gas stations and C stores. This sure is a good feeling after riding through areas where there is nothing for 60 to 70 miles.
I have been keeping in touch with Jazael and Cheyenne via text. Maybe I’ll run into one or both of them between here and Florida. It would be great to run into them and all arrive in St. Augustine, FL together.
Made a supply run to Walmart and went to bed early in preparation for an early start tomorrow.
