RIDE NOTES…
DO NOT TRUST GOOGLE MAPS FOR BIKES. It has let me down 2 days in a row now. Today it routed me on a road where a bridge was out so I had to backtrack about 8 miles on top of my already long day.
No place to eat lunch, but had plenty of ice cream. I did get somewhat lost due to the bridge out, then I was stuck on a road without a berm for a while, and had a hard time finding the hotel in Brenham, TX. Finally got checked into the Holiday Inn Express and had and good supper at “Pizzaiolos” next door to the motel.
Still overall a good day but I think I deserve better days in the future. It looks like rain tomorrow, so I’m either gonna stay here or plan a short day and try to beat the rain.
