RIDE NOTES…
I left at first light this morning to try to beat the heat but I’ve realized that isn’t possible. I rode 45 miles today from Starke, FL to Palatka, FL. About 15 miles today was on a bike trail with good shade. I rode the first 12 to McDonalds for breakfast of course, then the last 33 miles to the Quality Inn in Palatka. I was going to stay at the Best Western, but Bart is coming to stay with me tonight and there just isn’t anything around the Best Western.
The Quality Inn is a decent motel with great views of the St. Johns river and a Beef O Brady’s off of the lobby.
Only 33 miles to go tomorrow to St. Augustine, FL!! Cant wait to be done.
