RIDE NOTES…
Ryan Cheney, one of Bart’s new pilots in flight school at Flight Safety Int’l in Tucson, AZ delivered me 4 new heavy duty inner tubes purchased from Ajo Bikes. It was an 80 mile drive from Tucson, AZ out to me here in Wilcox, AZ. May thanks to Bart, Ryan, and Laura for getting me the new parts. I replaced my punctured tube from yesterday with one of the new heavy duty ones early this morning and got underway to Lordsburg, NM at around 08:15. It was a very long 74 miles all along I-10 today. Another windy and dusty day of riding. Rode past the town of Bowie, AZ which is the town John Rambo was from in the Rambo movies. Ended up at the Motel 10. Very basic lodging but after 74 miles any motel looks great! There is no place to eat here at the Motel 10 but there is a gas station nearby for water, energy drinks, and snacks so I had that instead of supper. There is a McDonalds up the road about 5 minutes but resting seems way more important at this point than a walk for food.
