notes RIDE NOTES…

Rode 47 miles today from San Antonio, TX to Seguin, TX.  Started off with about 10 miles on a bike trail that ran along a stream with was flooded in many places.  In 2 specific areas it was totally impassable so I had to turn around and find an alternate route.  In 1 area I met a young man named Angel and he rode with me a few miles to help get me to a point where I could find my way.  Most everyone I meet is extremely helpful and interested in my trip.

It was a long day navigating through San Antonio, TX with many, many, turns.  Thankfully I have google maps on my phone.  I select “by bike” and although it doesn’t always take me the most direct route, it always seems to take me where I need to go.  Thankfully Bart set me up with a backup battery to charge my phone on the road because google maps seems to really drain the battery fast.

I met several people today that showed interest in my trip and I’m sure they will be following me along my journey.  Everyone I meet that has any interest in my ride I make sure they have my business card and this website address.

Checked into the Motel 6, did laundry, and early to bed.
