RIDE NOTES…
Rode 50 Miles from Liberty, TX to Vidor, TX today. It was raining in the morning so I didn’t leave Liberty, TX until 1000. It was an easy 40 miles to Beaumont, TX. After Beaumont, TX I decided to press on to Vidor, TX but the only ay to get there was to ride on I-10. I thought it would be easier on a Sunday but it was very hectic and probably the most dangerous piece of road I’ve been on yet. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Vidor, TX and went to Taco Bell for my only meal of the day.
I noticed today that my SPOT GPS tracker wasn’t working properly so I replaced the batteries and I think that should fix it. With any luck tonight should be my last night spent in Texas!

I’ve been to Beaumont before. You are almost to Louisiana, the roads there are very bad. You will notice right away upon crossing the state border.
Actually the 1st 100 miles or so was great, then it goes from good to absolutely terrible, depending on what Parrish you are in. Thanks for following me along.
