notes RIDE NOTES…

Rode a somewhat easy 61 mile day from Dequincy, LA to Eunice, LA.  The road had a good berm to ride on today and there was a McDonalds after 35 miles.  The traffic was light and the weather was great so really what more could I ask for?  Louisiana has been the easiest state to ride through so far.  I averaged 11.5 MPH today; that’s probably the best so far this trip.

Mary Bender from the Hernando Oaks Newsletter inquired today about writing an article about my ride.  Although I said it was fine with me, my journey is really not a big deal.  Its surprising just how many people actually do this ride every year.  Many even do harder rides than this one.

Louisiana dog owners apparently don’t believe in dog chains or dog training either.  I find this so annoying.  Although I think I can ride faster than most dogs can run, today I almost rode into traffic trying to get away from a mean dog.  Their owners must be absolutely brainless.

Went to Pizza Hut for supper and it was excellent!  Fox News and off to bed.
